FCRA Rules 2026 - Purpose and Area Wise Registration under FCRA
The Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 2026, has inserted Rule 9(1B), requiring existing FCRA-registered organisations to submit Form FC-6F within one year of the commencement of the amended Rules, i.e. by 21 June 2027, specifying the purpose(s) and State(s)/UT(s) for which they seek to retain their registration.

- The 105 prescribed purposes introduced under the new Schedule to the FCRA Rules.
- The process and requirements for filing Form FC-6F by existing FCRA-registered organisations.
- Addition or deletion of purposes and States/UTs under Rule 17B, along with the applicable fee structure.

- The position regarding activities involving FPOs, cooperatives and SHGs.
- Consequences of missing the one-year deadline for filing Form FC-6F.
